C&F Porter Novelli has won the PR Agency of the Year 2011 Award by MarketingWorld.
MarketingWorld, a prominent African promotion magazine, organised its inaugural awards on Friday at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos. The award is aimed at promoting excellence in branding and marketing in Nigeria.
“The aim is to recognise brand excellence at the national level, as well as to encourage and celebrate outstanding marketers who have helped enhance the image of Nigeria and significantly contributed to its economy,” said Akin Naphtal, the Chief Executive Officer of Instinct Wave Group and director of the awards.

Notable professionals that were also honoured at the event include Bola Akingbade, the Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria, who bagged the Lifetime Achievement Award; Idorenyen Enang, the Managing Director of Samsung West Africa, who won the Brand Builder of the Year Award; and Tayo Aderinokun, former Group Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank, who was awarded a post-humous award.
Various corporations were also honoured at the event; among them is Emirates Airlines, a client of C&F Porter Novelli. The airline won the Award for Brand Excellence, Aviation.
